What is NaNoWriMo?
National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) is a fun, seat-of-your-pants approach to creative writing. On November 1, participants begin working towards the goal of writing a 50,000-word novel by 11:59 PM on November 30.
Valuing enthusiasm, determination, and a deadline, NaNoWriMo is for anyone who has ever thought fleetingly about writing a novel.
I don't know if this is in my favour or not, but I basically decided at the last minute to do NaNoWriMo. I know for a fact that I won't succeed, but as the saying goes, at least I'll give it a try.
I've always wanted to write a book, it's been one of my passions since I could remember. So when I heard about this concept to get you motivated (which I struggle with), I thought it was a brilliant idea to finally get started on my dream.
Of course I'm no expert, that much is clear, so it will all depend on how I feel if it's any good to put it up on Wattpad.
Also, I'm thinking about updating on here every day to see how my progress is going....hopefully I'll do good.
Wish me luck :)
Hey, how'd you go with the first couple of days? :)
ReplyDeleteThe first couple of days I think I did really good, about 2,000 words. But now I'm slowing down lol.
DeleteI can now officially understand and appreciate authors, even though I can't promise I won't stop nagging for the their next book to come out hahahahahaha.
Awesome, 2k a day is great! Have things picked up again?
DeleteHahaha, authors love that sort of nagging! (still on track for December release at this point) :)
I can officially say that I have failed hahaha. I thought if I decided at the last minute and go in with no preperation that I might do okay, but it looks like that wasn't the best idea.
DeleteNext year I'm going to plan on what I will be doing, I'll have my characters and plot sorted, all I have to do is write.
I take my hat off to you for writing a book and accomplishing a deadline. Next time I might think before nagging an author for their next book to be released....maybe lol.
